Kaili Chen is the founder and artistic director of Li Garden Dance Company, a nonprofit organization established in 2017 in Stamford, Connecticut. Dedicated to preserving and sharing traditional Chinese culture, Li Garden Dance Company presents classical and folk dance through performance, education, and community engagement across Connecticut and New York.
Originally from Taiwan, Kaili began her dance training at the age of four and holds a BFA in Modern Dance from the Department of Dance at the Taiwan National University of Arts. After graduating from Hwa Kang Arts High School, she joined the renowned Han-Tang Yuefu Music and Dance Ensemble in Taipei, where she served as a principal dancer and rehearsal director for over 30 years.
Kaili trained extensively in Liyuan Classical Dance, a refined court dance tradition originating in the Tang Dynasty, studying with master artists dedicated to its preservation. She also studied martial arts at the Shaolin Temple, integrating movement, rhythm, and physical discipline into her artistic practice. Her repertoire includes a wide range of classical roles and expressive forms.
Her performances have been presented at major international venues including Lincoln Center Theater, The Joyce Theater, Théâtre de la Ville and Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris, and the Palace Museum in Beijing, as well as festivals such as Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and international cultural festivals across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
陳凱莉（Kaili Chen）是一位舞蹈藝術家與編舞家。她於2017年創立了「莉 花園舞團（Li Garden Dance Company）」，致力於推廣傳統中華文化與東方古典美學，同時也積極呈現古典與創新融合的舞蹈風格。在她的帶領下，莉花園舞團已累積豐富的演出作品，並於康乃狄克州及紐約州多個知名博物館、大學及藝術節演出。
凱莉來自台灣，自四歲起便在多位藝術家的指導下接受舞蹈訓練，畢業於台灣藝術大學舞蹈系主修現代舞。高中於華岡藝術學校期間，她考入極具盛名的漢唐樂府古典樂舞團，擔任首席舞者及排練指導，專業舞者生涯近30年。
她向老一輩國寶級藝術家蔡清平、吳明森及潘愛治老師學習「梨園舞」，此舞蹈起源於唐代宮廷梨園戲，是極具歷史與藝術價值的古典舞蹈。這些老師一生致力於梨園舞的保存與實踐。此外，凱莉亦於中國少林寺研習武術，拜師釋延斌學習中華禪武。她曾扮演過多個經典角色，包括生（男）、旦（女）、丑（滑稽）等類型，並成為備受讚譽的梨園舞明星。
她的舞跡遍及多個國際知名劇院，包括紐約林肯中心劇院（Lincoln Center Theater）、紐約喬伊斯劇院（The Joyce Theater）、巴黎市立劇院（Théâtre de la Ville），以及四度進入北京故宮博物院皇極殿演出。她曾隨團巡演遍及美洲、歐洲與亞洲三十多個國家，並參與多項國際藝術節，包括美國麻州的雅各比之枕舞蹈節（Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival）、法國里昂雙年展（La Biennale de Lyon）、巴黎幻想節（Le Festival de l’Imaginaire）、新加波濱海劇院 ConversAsians，以及莫斯科的契可夫國際戲劇節（Chekhov International Theatre Festival）。更曾四度受邀登上湖南電視台『天天向上』欄目、上海世博、北京大劇院、北京后海、快雪堂及文化部春節晚會演出。
